VIRV is disrupting the current decarbonization strategy for ground support equipment and accelerating the ability for this fleet to power its operations from 100% renewable energy. VIRV has designed a swappable battery platform that affordably streamlines electrification of GSE without the need to be parked while charging. Instead, the battery packs are charged en masse and then swapped out as needed. VIRV's Battery as a Service platform keeps capital costs low, saves airlines and ground handlers on their operating costs, and decrease infrastructure buildout costs for airports.
