Who can attend the conference?
GHI’s Americas Conference is the premier networking event for ground handlers, airlines, airports and suppliers. It is open to any professionals from the ground handling industry.

Is the conference live?
YES! We are so excited to host the Americas Conference live and in-person at the Hilton Miami Downtown.
 
Can I attend the event virtually or dial in? 
NO. You wont be able to participate virtually, this includes viewing conference content. We know the value in the Americas GHI Conference is the physical presence of our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and delegates and we are delighted to be able to welcome you to Miami.

What is included in the delegate fee?
The fee includes three days’ of content sessions, lunches, coffee breaks, networking parties and access to GHI’s premium One-to-One Meeting planner including access to the delegate list. Hotel room is not included in the delegate fee.

Do you have special offers for airlines attending the conference? 
Special offers are available to individuals responsible for procurement and/or management of ground handling contracts/ services, GSE and IT services procurement. Email Alice Williams to discuss your attendance to the conference.

Is there a deadline to sign up for the conference?
We can accept last minute bookings, however to take advantage of the One-to-One Meeting opportunities, it is recommended that you sign up as early as possible as some attendees’ schedules become full.

What is the delegate personal page?
Once you are registered you will be sent login details for the delegate personal page. Here you can request and accept meetings with other delegates, view the delegate list including contact details, sign up to conference sessions, enter your flight details and join the networking events.

How do I organise One-to-One Meetings?
1) Log into your delegate personal page
2) View the delegate list
3) Start sending meeting requests - You can add a personal note to each invite, set your preferred meeting length (15, 25 or 55 minutes) and you can also appoint a member of your team to be your meeting coordinator. There is no limit to the number of meetings you can request. 

You have the power to accept, decline and request as many meetings as you like. 

There is no need for you to arrange your meetings – it will be all done for you by GHI's expert team. It could not be easier; we take care of all the scheduling for you as your personal account managers taking into account conference sessions and networking events you wish to attend as well as your arrival and departure flights. A full schedule is sent out 2 weeks before the conference.

Is there a deadline to submit my meeting requests?
The Meeting planner will close for new requests the Friday prior to the conference, however we will continue to schedule meetings when existing requests are accepted. We are still able to handle last minute requests on a case-by-case basis.

What accommodation is available?
We have special delegate rates the Hilton Downtown. Miami. More information is available here.

What opportunities are there for networking at the conference?
GHI’s Conferences provide unparalleled networking opportunities. More than 1,500 One-to-One Meetings are expected at the 6th Americas GHI Conference. We also provide table-top spaces for ad-hoc meetings over the three days. And don’t miss out on our Welcome Party and Delegate Dinner, which provide the opportunity to extend discussions long into the night.

Are there any restrictions on entry to the US in place?
From Monday November 8 the United States will be open to travellers from all countries, who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This is in addition to the current requirement that travellers to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of departure to the US. To view any international travel restrictions in place to enter the US, please check the CDC website for the latest information.

You should also be aware of additional entry requirements, including up to date PCR or antigen tests. Check the CDC website for the latest information.

Which vaccines are acceptable to the US authorities?
The CDC says the US will accept full vaccination of travellers with any COVID-19 vaccine that is FDA-approved and authorised, as well as vaccines that have Emergency Use Listing (EUL) from the World Health Organization (WHO). This list currently includes:

Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine 
Moderna (mRNA-1273) COVID-19 vaccine
Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine 
Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine 
Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine 
Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine
Covishield (Serum Institute of India) COVID-19 vaccine

The CDC has also confirmed that a mix of the above vaccines will be accepted.

How will you be ensuring our health and safety with the risks presented by Covid-19?
GHI has a duty of care to all of our delegates and ensuring your health and safety is our top priority. We plan a number of additional precautionary measures this year to ensure your well-being. The team will study and implement the most effective, scientifically recommended, precautionary measures against Covid-19 at the conference. What if GHI has to postpone the conference?
If GHI was unable to deliver the conference because of heightened Covid travel restrictions then we would defer to alternative dates, offering a 100% credit note for your booking under new payment terms.

What if I test positive for Covid before the conference?
If you or a member of your team are unable to attend due to a positive Covid-19 test or self-isolation then we can accept delegate replacements up to 24 hours prior to the start of the conference if we receive written confirmation.

Can GHI help me with my visa application?
We are able to issue visa letters to all confirmed delegates to help with your visa application, contact conferences@groundhandling.com for more information. GHI is unable to take responsibility for any refused visa applications.
